Languages

Japanese is the core language studied at Namadgi School from Year 3 -8 with the option of continuing studies in Year 9 and 10. In the secondary school, students are also able to study one of 30 languages through online learning using the ‘Rosetta Stone’ program.


Learning Stages

Namadgi School is structured in four learning stages:


Learning Support

Small group and individual assistance is available based on teacher assessment and referral. QuickSmart, the numeracy intervention program, is part of this support.


Learning Support Unit / Autism (LSUA)

Namadgi has one LSUA units which caters for up to 6 students each. These units are well equipped with large classrooms, quiet rooms, bathroom facilities and an enclosed outdoor play area. Students who meet the ACT Student Disability Criteria for ASD are eligible for a place in these units.


Learning Support Unit (LSU)

The junior and senior LSU cater for students with a borderline to mild intellectual disability, or a significant learning difficulty, in classes of 8 or less.
